Africa World Airlines (AWA) has taken a significant step forward by launching a new mobile app and unveiling a new flight program called “Celebrations in the Air.” To mark this milestone, a three-man delegation from the Ghanaian airline, which also operates in Nigeria, paid a courtesy visit to Vice Admiral Seth Amoama at the Ghana High Commission in Abuja.
During the visit, Vice Admiral Amoama reiterated the Mission’s commitment to promoting the interests of Ghanaian citizens and businesses in Nigeria. He praised AWA for being the only airline that offers daily direct flights between Accra and Abuja and encouraged the airline to leverage this unique position to increase the frequency of flights. This, he noted, could significantly boost local tourism between the two countries.
The Vice Admiral also requested AWA to consider providing rebated fares for members of the Ghanaian Mission, facilitating easier and more frequent travel between Accra and Abuja.
In response, Mr. Appiah, a representative of AWA, highlighted the strong relationship between the airline and the High Commission, expressing gratitude for the support the airline continues to receive. He acknowledged the important role the Mission plays in promoting AWA’s services.
With the launch of its mobile app and new flight initiatives, AWA continues to enhance its customer experience while strengthening its ties with Ghana’s diplomatic and business community in Nigeria.
