AURA AERO has joined forces with Renault for the debut of the all-new electric Renault 4 at the Paris Motor Show 2024. As part of the showcase, AURA AERO’s electric aircraft, INTEGRAL E, has been featured, symbolising the convergence of land and air mobility solutions. The electric aircraft has been customised with the colours of the new Renault 4 and renamed R4-INTEGRAL E for the event, illustrating the collaborative spirit between the two French pioneers of decarbonised mobility.
Renault, in launching its newest electric car, called upon four French start-ups that align with its vision of a cleaner, greener future. AURA AERO stands out among these innovators with its expertise in electric aviation. The INTEGRAL E, a full-electric two-seater aircraft made from sustainable materials such as wood and wood-carbon, is designed for training, leisure, and aerobatics. It represents the aviation industry’s shift toward more environmentally friendly, quieter, and efficient technology.
Visitors at the Paris Motor Show have the chance to see this new aircraft displayed in Hall 5, where it symbolizes the “4 movements” event, a nod to the mobility solutions Renault envisions for the future. Beyond showcasing its aircraft, AURA AERO shares Renault’s ambition for decarbonizing transportation, both on the ground and in the skies.
AURA AERO, founded in 2018, is known for its commitment to low-carbon aviation. The company’s flagship project, the hybrid-electric 19-seater ERA (Electric Regional Aircraft), is slated to enter service before 2030, promising to open “low-carbon” air routes that reconnect smaller cities underserved by current transportation networks.
President and co-founder of AURA AERO, Jérémy Caussade, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are very honoured to have been chosen by Renault to be on their stand at Paris Motor Show 2024 for the launch of the new electric R4. This presentation foreshadows a fruitful collaboration in the future, and we are thrilled to share our vision of future mobility with one of the world’s leading automotive companies.”
With a team of 250 dedicated collaborators, AURA AERO has established itself as a leading figure in the design and manufacturing of electric aircraft, with its first INTEGRAL aircraft deliveries expected soon. As both companies continue to push the boundaries of sustainable transportation, this partnership could serve as a blueprint for the future of integrated mobility solutions.
