ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES TO EXTEND NEW AIRCRAFT TO LAGOS FLEET

Ethiopian Airlines, recognised as one of Africa’s leading carriers, has announced plans to enhance its Lagos fleet with the introduction of its latest Airbus A350-1000 aircraft. This state-of-the-art addition promises to deliver unparalleled comfort, luxury, and advanced technology to passengers.

The announcement coincided with Ethiopian Airlines’ 78th anniversary, celebrated at the 20th Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos. During the event, Mrs. Adetola Alabi, the airline’s Sales Manager, presented a paper titled “Ethiopian Airlines: Past, Present, and Future Innovations for Continued Leadership in Aviation.” In her presentation, she highlighted the airline’s rich heritage and its forward-looking vision.

Passengers can look forward to a spacious and modern cabin on the A350-1000, featuring wider seats, increased legroom, and an overall premium travel experience. Alabi emphasised that the aircraft will also come equipped with cutting-edge entertainment systems, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a quieter, smoother flying experience.

Reflecting on the airline’s legacy, Alabi noted that Ethiopian Airlines has demonstrated resilience and innovation throughout its history. She pointed out that the airline has maintained a steadfast presence in Nigeria since the country’s independence in 1960, continuing to serve the Nigerian market even during challenging periods, including the Nigerian Civil War.
