TAP AIRLINES SCOOPS WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN CONNECTIVITY

TAP Airlines clinched top honors at the 30th edition of the World Travel Awards, held in a grand gala at Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab on December 1st. The prestigious titles of World’s Leading Airline to Africa and World’s Leading Airline to South America were bestowed upon TAP, underscoring the company’s continued commitment to enhancing the passenger travel experience.

These awards, a mainstay since their inception in 1993, aim to spotlight, honor, and celebrate excellence across the global travel and tourism spectrum. TAP Airlines stood out among an illustrious list of air and tourism industry giants, securing victory through a rigorous online voting process involving travel agents, operators, tourism organisations from over 100 countries, and the public.

 

This year’s accolades join a prestigious lineup of previous wins for TAP Airlines. The Portuguese national carrier had previously received the World’s Leading Airline to Africa in 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, along with the World’s Leading Airline to South America in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Additionally, TAP was consistently recognised as the Leading European Airline for South America from 2014 to 2023.

 

The World Travel Awards, decided through a blend of public votes and industry expert opinions, represent a pinnacle of distinction for tourism entities worldwide. The breadth of categories attracts applications from global contenders, making these awards a testament to excellence across diverse sectors of the travel industry. TAP Airlines’ continued success in these prestigious awards reaffirms its status as a leader in global aviation connectivity and service excellence.
