ETHIOPIAN AVIATION UNIVERSITY GRADUATES MORE THAN 600

Ethiopian Aviation University, Africa’s premier aviation hub, celebrated the graduation of 627 skilled aviation professionals in a grand ceremony hosted at its newly revamped campus. The graduates, honing expertise in diverse realms of the aviation industry, completed rigorous programs in Pilot Training, Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Cabin Crew & Catering, and Commercial & Ground Services.

At this landmark graduation event, a cohort of 88 pilots, 125 aircraft technicians, 150 cabin crews, and 264 commercial trainees embarked on their promising trajectories within the aviation sphere.


Addressing the accomplished graduates, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, emphasised the pivotal role of human capital development in the airline’s growth strategy. He proudly underscored the institution’s commitment as the foremost center of aviation excellence on the continent, dedicated to nurturing proficient aviation professionals. Mr. Tasew highlighted the inclusivity of the ceremony, celebrating the participation of graduates from various African nations and welcoming 228 male and 306 female aviation experts into the global aviation fraternity.


Notably, Ethiopian Aviation University holds accreditation from the Ethiopian Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency, validating its offerings of undergraduate and graduate degree programs spanning aviation and hospitality disciplines.


The University’s curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum of courses, ranging from BSc programs in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance Engineering, and Aviation Management & Operations to BA programs in Tourism & Hospitality Management. Additionally, the institution offers specialised courses like MSc in Data Science, MBA in Aviation Management, Diploma and Certificate Programs in Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Pilot Training, Cabin Crew and Commercial Training, Leadership & Career Development, Catering Training, along with ICAO and Online Courses.


Furthermore, Ethiopian Airlines extends its training facilities beyond the capital, with centers in regional cities such as Hawassa, Dire-Dawa, Bahir-Dar, and Mekelle, solidifying its commitment to nurturing talent across the nation.
