Rockwell Automation, the global leader in industrial automation, and its joint venture, Sensia, are set to present pioneering technology at ADIPEC 2024, held from November 4-7 in Abu Dhabi. With a focus on the Middle East’s rapid transition to a low-carbon energy future, the event will highlight Rockwell’s state-of-the-art solutions, which integrate automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive sustainability and operational efficiency.
In an evolving energy landscape, companies need a precise emissions profile based on real-time data—a challenging requirement that Rockwell addresses through advanced automation. According to Emmanuel Guilhamon, Rockwell’s Global VP for Sustainability, “Sustainability works best when it makes business sense.” Rockwell’s approach centers on fostering both environmental and economic benefits, aligning with industry-wide collaboration.
Revolutionising Manufacturing and Robotics
Industrial robots are transforming production processes, offering enhanced flexibility and streamlined data integration. At ADIPEC, Rockwell will demonstrate a Taurob robot, a recent addition from their partnership with Taurob. This collaboration is aimed at advancing autonomous operations through connected robotics and digital twin technology, delivered through Rockwell’s Kalypso digital services. Rockwell and Taurob’s integrated solution provides a safer, more efficient framework for inspection and maintenance tasks while aligning with sustainability objectives.
AI Solutions for Process Industries
Rockwell’s AI offerings, including the FactoryTalk® Optix™ platform and GuardianAI™, harness the power of AI to optimise decision-making. FactoryTalk® Optix™ integrates human-machine interface (HMI) solutions with AI-driven processes to enhance situational awareness. Additionally, the LogixAI® solution enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process optimisation, improving operational performance and reducing unplanned downtime.
Sebastien Grau, Rockwell’s VP for Process Industries, noted that Rockwell’s focus is to support diverse sectors—from traditional energy to green solutions—through innovative automation technology. “Our focus is on delivering unified solutions across various verticals,” Grau explained, underscoring the company’s role in helping clients manage complexities and accelerate their transition to sustainable operations.
