Embraer has announced a major expansion of its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services network in the United States, with plans to open a new service centre at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. This move is designed to meet the increasing demand for E-Jets maintenance services in North America.
The new service centre, which is expected to become operational in the first quarter of 2025, will consist of two hangars. Initially, operations will begin in an existing hangar, with the construction of a second hangar set to be completed by 2027. This expansion is a collaborative effort between Embraer, the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, stated, “This expansion will significantly increase the capacity, capability, and footprint of our services network by providing world-class support to our customers and the growing fleet of E-Jets in North America. Also, it is part of Embraer’s growth strategy in the US.”
Once completed, the Fort Worth service centre will join Embraer’s global network, which currently includes 80 authorised centres and 12 owned service centres. This initiative is still subject to the approval of proposed incentives by local government authorities.
